WHAT YOU'LL DO
Responsible for all custodial work operations involving supervision of housekeeping department. Responsible for the daily inspection of rooms and public areas, daily staffing/payroll requirements and control, departmental budget, negotiation with vendors and suppliers, inventory control, all department reports, training and supervision of all housekeeping staff. Must comply with all Company & Brand Standards. . 

ROLE EXPECTATIONS
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: 
  • Assists in the supervision, direction and training of Housekeeping Personnel.
  • Manages the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping, public space, and laundry areas for assigned shifts. 
  • Sign in and out on the key log for floor master, connecting door, and storage room keys. 
  • Inspect vacant/ready (VR) rooms to ensure company standards are met. 
  • Maintain cleaning tools and equipment. 
  • Report room discrepancies for repair or replacement. 
  • Report insufficient rooms to Management. 
  • Deliver requested items to guests/VIP customers. 
  • Participates in the development and implementation of processes, procedures, and standards for the department which support the achievement of service and financial goals. 
  • Inspects rooms and public space areas. 
  • Determines appropriate staffing levels for forecasted business and schedules team members accordingly. 
  • Implements processes for providing team members with customer service, technical and safety training on a continual basis. 
  • Tracks and inventory and purchasing for the department. Prepares purchase orders based on need and budgetary allowance. 
  • Accurately prepares departmental payroll. 
  • Performs administrative duties including but not limited to, creating/updating tracking for projects, team member appraisals, updating of job descriptions, corrective action, PAF's. 
  • Develops and implements strategies and practices which support employee engagement. 
  • Recruits and selects qualified team members. 
  • Provides team members with the orientation and training needed to understand expectations and perform job responsibilities. 
  • Communicates performance expectations and provides team members with ongoing feedback. 
  • Provides team members with coaching and counseling as needed to achieve performance objectives. 
  • All other duties as assigned by Hotel Operations 
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities. 

REQUIREMENTS
  • Five (5) years mid to senior level housekeeping or similar custodial experience in a hotel, Time-Share condominium or hospital environment; five of which were in a supervisory or management position. 
  • Work requires effective communication in English, both verbal and written form in a professional manner. 
  • Must present a neat and professional appearance. 
  • Work requires attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Work requires interactions with customers, the public and co-workers. 
  • Ability to maintain regular, predictable attendance according to schedule. 
  • Ability to safely operate motorized equipment.   
  • Attention to detail and must have visual capabilities needed to inspect work upon completion to avoid leaving deficient work. 
  • The physical ability to tolerate any required personal protective equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, safety goggles, and other protective equipment deemed appropriate on a continuous basis. 
  • Work requires use of a computer and/or cash register.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS 
  • Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 
  • Must be able to work under time constraints and within established deadlines. 
  • Must regularly lift and/move up to 50 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.  
  • The physical ability to stand and/or walk continuously for duration of shift. 
  • The physical ability to climb stairs, balance, bend/stoop, and kneel continuously. 
  • The physical ability to use both hands for continuous grasping. 
  • The physical ability to push, pull, and lift various furniture items such as mattresses, end tables, chairs, ottomans, lamps, and tables. 
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment and exposed to various environmental factors such as but not limited to noise, dust and smoke.

Compensation: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
