WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Buyer is responsible for supporting the Purchasing / Warehouse team at Dreamscape’s new Rio Las Vegas Hotel & Casino. The position will directly support the Senior and Lead Buyers with the sourcing and purchasing of various commodities to support operations. This role will help monitor open purchase orders, maintain accurate pricing and oversee stocking.

ROLE EXPECTATIONS
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Maintain exceptional customer service at every interaction.
  • Audit purchase orders, review inventory movement and backorders, and support filling orders in a timely manner.
  • Escalate issues to the management team and actively work with inventory control and suppliers to resolve open items.
  • Maintain proper ordering procedures, resolution processes and historical data to ensure effective inventory control to maximize sales and minimize excess.
  • Own PO and data accuracy and reconcile invoices against received purchase orders.
  • Participate in supplier business reviews with management.
  • Ensure quality and satisfaction with all inbound commodities to meet internal standards.
  • Support departments with sourcing options and any entering PO information into database.
  • Perform other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum two (2) years of related purchasing experience in a casino, hotel, warehouse, food manufacturing, grocery/retail, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong organizational skills, solution-driven, analytical thinker.
  • Good knowledge of purchasing principles, practices and methods used in a competitive procurement environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proactive with an attention to details.
  • High School diploma or (GED) required.
  • At least 21 years of age.
PREFERRED
  • Previous experience working in a similar work setting.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, gaming and local regulations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to work under time constraints and within established deadlines.
  • Must regularly lift and/move up to 25 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Work is performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment and exposed to various environmental factors such as but not limited to noise, dust and smoke.
  • May be exposed periodically to chilled or warm temperatures within the operations and warehouse environments.

Compensation: $22.30 - $24.30 per hour
